Greener homes loan is now available! 

Looking to make your home more energy efficient, the greener homes loan is now available. As a part of the greener homes initiative, they are offering up to $40 000 interest free financing that ties in with the $5000 greener homes grant. The details:

• Minimum loan is $5000

• Maximum loan is $40 000

• Repayment term is 10 years interest free

• Loan type: unsecured personal loan on approved credit

June 17, 2022 – The Canada Greener Homes Loan is now open to:

• Eligible applicants who are applying to Canada Greener Homes Grant.

• Active applicants at the pre-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation stage with the Canada Greener Homes Grant.

By August 31, 2022 – The Canada Greener Homes Loan will open to:

Homeowners who have already received a grant or requested a post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation under the Canada Greener Homes Grant and want to apply for any remaining eligible retrofits they are interested in pursuing and have not yet commenced.

There is a whopping $4.4 billion in interest-free loans, of up to $40,000 per household, helping up to 175,000 homeowners complete extensive home retrofits on their principal residence. For more information on the loan please visit: Natural Resources Canada
